Being Single is Natural

Being single is a natural state of being and should not be viewed as a wrongdoing. It is perfectly acceptable to wait for the right person rather than rushing into a relationship with the wrong individual, which is where the true mistake lies.

The fact that you are single does not imply that you cannot experience genuine happiness while waiting for the right person. Happiness is a positive and pleasurable emotion that ranges from contentment to intense joy and overall satisfaction. It can be triggered by positive life experiences or thoughts, but sometimes it can arise without an obvious cause. The long-term level of happiness is more strongly correlated with life satisfaction, subjective well-being, flourishing, and eudaimonia.

There is a misguided belief that being married is the only path to happiness and respect. This mindset has created a false narrative, leading many young people to hastily enter marriages in pursuit of happiness. However, they often realize that the happiness they were seeking cannot be found solely within the institution of marriage. It can be a disappointing realization.

Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it is the only institution that grants a certificate before a thorough evaluation. It presents a variety of challenges and adventures. When you say "YES" to marriage, you are unwrapping a whole new set of identities and should be prepared to encounter the unexpected.

It is important to take your time and carefully evaluate your wants and needs. Needs refer to the basic requirements necessary for survival, while wants are the desires that are unlimited but the means to fulfill them are limited.

You may want something that you don't necessarily need. Therefore, it is crucial to choose wisely and prioritize what truly matters to you.
