THE PRICE OF FREEDOM

"Freedom isn't free. To embrace freedom, one must be prepared to pay the price, break through barriers, shift focus, change mindset, and break free from the shackles that bind. Pursue it relentlessly and be prepared to overcome any challenges." Freedom is the state of being granted the liberty to act, speak, and travel as one desires, at their own pace and time. However, the attainment of freedom has become akin to a life-or-death struggle. Numerous obstacles, battles, conflicts, infringements, and oppressive forces hinder our freedom, requiring us to assert our will to overcome them. The civil rights of citizens have been persistently trampled upon, and freedom is no longer readily available to the common people. The cherished liberties of speech, association, movement, and opinions are gradually slipping away. "Enduring bondage may last for decades, but the day of freedom marks a new dawn." - Kuforiji Afolasade. Yearning for freedom is universal, yet the cont...

BE HAPPY RIGHT NOW

Happiness is a beautiful emotion and life satisfaction that can be triggered by positive experiences or can simply arise without any apparent reason. It's a choice we have the power to make. We hold the key to creating happiness within ourselves, and it often goes beyond the boundaries of pure joy. So why wait to be happy until some future date? Such misconceptions abound, like believing happiness is reserved for the wealthy, or that life will be easier and happier as we grow older. Happiness is not limited to specific circumstances, appearances, or financial status. Nor is it a luxury too costly to maintain or a dangerous path that might lead to trouble or an early demise. In our earlier years, we hoped that transitioning to Secondary School would guarantee a happier life, only to find ourselves facing new challenges and stresses. The pursuit of happiness didn't become any simpler when we entered higher institutions. The road to success was far from easy, with the pressure of...

It arises as a sudden rush of attraction and admiration, an overwhelming feeling of attachment, affection, and interdependence. It's a conscious choice to commit to aiding, respecting, and caring for one another. Feeling unloved is strongly linked to emotions like low self-esteem, helplessness, despondency, dejection, and depression. Conversely, those who both feel loved by others and...

Being Single is Natural

Being single is a natural state of being and should not be viewed as a wrongdoing. It is perfectly acceptable to wait for the right person rather than rushing into a relationship with the wrong individual, which is where the true mistake lies. The fact that you are single does not imply that you cannot experience genuine happiness while waiting for the right person. Happiness is a positive and pleasurable emotion that ranges from contentment to intense joy and overall satisfaction. It can be triggered by positive life experiences or thoughts, but sometimes it can arise without an obvious cause. The long-term level of happiness is more strongly correlated with life satisfaction, subjective well-being, flourishing, and eudaimonia. There is a misguided belief that being married is the only path to happiness and respect. This mindset has created a false narrative, leading many young people to hastily enter marriages in pursuit of happiness. However, they often realize that the happiness th...
